NEPAL EARTHQUAKE APPEAL

We have been in touch with our colleagues at The British School Kathmandu (TBS) to ask how we might contribute to relief and aid in this desperate time of need for Nepal. Dr John Moore, Principal of TBS has told us that all support would be very much appreciated. There are so many charities working in Nepal right now and everyone needs support, so just spreading the cause is amazingly beneficial in itself.

Dr Moore tells us that many schools, friends, ex-students and parents, former TBS staff and current families have asked about how they might contribute to relief and aid for the people of Nepal. There are many charities who will provide immediate help. What TBS would like to do is to continue to work with their current charities because they can be assured that money pledged to their care will result in every single penny being spent on projects that TBS children and students can help them with and see develop over time. They will be directing their efforts to helping school rebuilding projects for their Dhading schools, Bungamati DSA School (hearing and sight impaired children) and the Disabled New Life Centre. The buildings have been devastated and they served large communities of people who needed them desperately. These projects will benefit children, are related to education, and we know they will give long term benefit to the children and people of Nepal. http://www.tbskathmandu.org/extra-curricular/community-service-charitable-work/
